ARC Review: The Frost Touched Queen by Ivy Fox
5 Stars|| Reverse Harem + Enemies-to-Lovers + SPICE || Amazon + Goodreads
Thank you Ivy Fox + Wordsmith Publicity for an Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for an honest review.
The Frost Touched Queen is an angst-filled, second-chance, once friends now enemies-to-lovers, spicy, romantic, political, reverse harem and it is all kinds of delicious.

This book, y’all, I’m gobsmacked over this book.
There were times that I wanted to reach in and physically shake sense into some of these characters – the fractures in the relationships, it is so sad and preventable and representative of miscommunication and lack of communication and it’s written so well because it is infuriating!
“May the best king win my heart.” For my kingdom will never be theirs.”
When Kat becomes Queen of the North, she isn’t expecting her crown to be challenged from three corners and all from the three boys she used to know who are now Kings themselves. So with utter brilliance and naïveté, Kat comes up with a plan that could only work in an RH, she’ll marry the victor of her heart. It’s a game and who will be the winner? I’m thinking they’re all going to win in the end, but wow what a road these four characters are going to have to walk to get there. . .
Told from multiple points of view. . .thank goodness, because it makes the story so much richer to see what is going on from each character’s mindset, especially with this much angst. There were also delightful flashbacks that help set up the bond these four characters had and what they’ve lost in the years since.
“I was a child when I knew them, and now they are all grown men. Kings. Kings that have turned as cold as the northern snow that falls on the ground.”
Kat is a character to root for, she’s been sheltered behind the wall that her father built around her and while she is known to be an Ice Queen with a heart of Ice, there is so much more to this character and her growth throughout the story is beautiful to behold. As for the men of this story, Levi, Teo, and Atlas. . .phew, they are pure yum wrapped in angst.
We don’t see much of Atlas in this novel but Levi and Teo more than makeup for it and each in their own way are lovable and perfect for Kat. The angst, my god, the angst, the secrets and assumptions, lies and deceptions, and the absolute killer spice is everything.
There are also several secondary characters that are completely utterly awesome and make this story pop. . .I can’t wait to see what happens for them in the following book, I need more of them!!
I loved this book, it kept me entranced until the very last page and I can’t wait to read the second of this Duology because I have a feeling things are about to get even more angst-ridden, political and the spice – I can’t forget that the spice level is probably going to rise, which is hard to believe when this first outing was filled with some spice levels that burned.
“What is a heart without its reason for beating?”
From the USA Today Bestselling Author Ivy Fox comes a new angsty romance filled with intrigue and revenge, and a thick web of secrets and lies that begs to be disentangled.
“The king is dead. Long live the Winter Queen in the north!”
Unfortunately, those jubilant shouted-out wishes over my role as queen of the Kingdom of Aikyam were short-lived.
All because three pesky kings stand in my way.
King Levi in the east.
King Teodoro in the south.
And the rebel king in the west, Atlas.
They want my crown.
My throne.
My birthright.
So instead of trying to dismantle their plots to overthrow me, I do the unexpected.
I offer up marriage instead.
A trap of my own making that will ensure I remain on top.
Because, make no mistake, there can only be one ruler in this kingdom—me.
